The PZKS department has long been active on an international scale, maintaining close contacts with German, Italian, and English partner universities, and is a permanent participant in the development of TEMPUS and ERASMUS+ projects. In 2011, the department initiated the conclusion of a cooperation agreement between the National Mining University and the University of Koblenz-Landau (Germany).
The summer of this year will be long remembered by the students of the department, who spent it in the economic center of the European Union - Germany, being students of Koblenz-Landau University for four weeks. As a result of such practice, our students received diplomas on completion of relevant courses and received ECTS points.

"For a whole month, the German university accepted students from a dozen different countries, such as the USA, France, Italy, Scotland, Finland, Bulgaria, Australia, India, etc. Education was conducted in English, and the language barrier did not become an obstacle to communication, both within the walls of the university and beyond. From the first days of acquaintance, students and teachers formed a close, almost family circle, and every morning turned into a kind of greeting ritual with a lot of positive emotions. Time flew with incredible speed. Working weekdays were replaced by weekends, which were dedicated to traveling to other countries and cities. Among the places visited were the cities of Germany (noisy and so different Cologne, ultra-modern Frankfurt, cozy Freiburg, charming Wiesbaden), Switzerland (ancient Basel), France (wonderful Paris, incredibly colorful Colmar), Every day brought a lot of impressions, new acquaintances and emotions

The educational process was extremely interesting, representing not just lectures, but also interesting discussions, work in groups, speeches in front of German scientists, classes outside the walls of the building. All this helped to better understand and learn new things, to get acquainted with a previously unknown European point of view.

The most memorable course was International Economics, which included a trip to the capital of the European Union - Brussels, where we visited the European Commission and the European Parliament, were able to listen to lectures from those who take a direct part in the formation of the economy and the adoption of European Union laws.
The month flew by like one day, on the way home, looking through the porthole of the plane, pictures flashed in front of my eyes, reminding me of my most unforgettable summer, which brings back vivid memories and a smile on my face. We are all looking forward to next year!»
